Welcome to the thirty-eighth WebEdition of The Magazine.
I am excited by being able to post for you, 'The War-Time Record of The Campbeltown Fishermen' on Page 6. I was given the text of the booklet by a good e friend, and asked my brother, Andrew if he could get me the name of the Secretary of the Campbeltown Branch of the C. F.A.- Clyde Fishermen's Association. He got the information from my nephew, fisherman and Lifeboatman Stephen Scally, and I was able to gain permission to publish the booklet.
The present Secretary of the C.F.A. is Mr. J. McDonald of Campbeltown, e-mail jimmynoon@btinternet.com
C. F.A.- Clyde Fishermen's Association. covers Campbeltown
and all Clyde ports.
S.F.A.- Scottish Fishermen's Association. covers all
of Scotland.
Janet Morrison's travel tale continues on Page 2, and
Heather MacFarlane has sent me oodles of information some of which graces
Pages 3 and 5. The Wee Drams Page is well filled again - thanks
to all who e-mailed me - and, as ususal, there is enough
interesting articles in the rest of the Magazine
to keep us all going for a wee while anyway.
Got a tale to tell? Is it relevant to the title of this Magazine? Share it with us then!
See you all next month and, until then, remember,
Ca' canny
