Welcome to the Sixty-Fourth WebEdition of The Magazine.

Well, Spring has well and truly sprung. We've been having some great days here in Farcet with warm winds and blue skies although - as I write it's a bit grey and rainy! But, as my mother would say, "It's only water".

There's a bumper Wee Drams in this edition. I can't thank you folks enough for keeping my emailbag filled
with such diverse and interesting topics. It makes for great reading in the Mag.

One particularly interesting email came in from Allan McGillivray and with it a superb submission for the
pages of the Mag. It's entitled  "McEwings and McPhails of Kintyre and Ontario"  and is a grand read.
I'll be serialising it over the next few editions and you can find it on Page 3.

I make no apologies for holding over for another edition, Page 8, where you can find details about Heather McFarlane's new book "Arichonan - A Highland Clearance Recorded". I've ordered up my copy and can't wait for it to arrive.  Purchase details can be found on the same page.

Helen and I are off to Scotland for two weeks in June. We'll be travelling with our good friends from North Carolina and we intend to take in as much as we can. We'll be visiting Hadrian's Wall; Perth; Ullapool; Lewis; Skye; Oban; Arran; Campbeltown and all points in between. If you want a postcard, send me your address!

Until the next time

Ca' canny.
