Welcome to the Seventieth WebEdition of The Magazine.

The 70th Web Edition of the Magazine. Not bad. Not bad at all. And it's all thanks to the good folks of the Kintyre Antiquarian and Natural History Society and all their contributors and, of course, all you wonderful friends and readers out there who keep this Magazine going from issue to issue.

This issue sees more of William Pursell's emails, a large Wee Drams Page featuring help from Mr David Huie to another reader, a short history of the Jordan family and more of the usual delights.

We have, however, come to the end of the fascinating 'History of the Gilchrists'.  Many thanks to Erin Silvaroli and Lynley Barry - the author Bob Gilchrist's daughters and, of course, Mr Dean Gilchrist.

Well, it's a weekend and a lovely day outside so my Helen has, no doubt, some gardening chores for me so, take care of yourselves and remember, this is your Magazine too.

Until the next time

Ca' canny.
